How do you know if your dog has a broken heart?

Dogs don't experience heartbreak in the same way humans do as they dont have the same emotional complexity and self-awareness as humans. They might show signs of separation anxiety or grief when their owners are gone, but this is not comparable to the emotional state of heartbreak in humans.
