- Supportive care:
- Monitor vital signs , including oxygen saturation
- Administer oxygen therapy if needed
- Treat bronchospasm with bronchodilators
- Provide eye irrigation and skin decontamination if necesseary
- Antidotes:
- Use specific antidote if known and available
- Evacuation:
- Remove patients from the contaminated area as soon as possible
- Decontamination:
- Remove contaminated clothing
- Wash exposed skin and mucous membranes thoroughly with soap and water
- Antibiotics:
- May consider empiric antibioitics if there is a risk of secondary bacterial infection , particularly in patients with severe pulmonary involvement
- Corticosteroids:
- May be beneficial in reducing inflammation in some case, but the evidence is limited
- Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO):
- May be considered for patient with sever hypoxemia who do not respond to conventional treatment
