Can antifreeze kill small dogs like a five year old chihuahua?

Antifreeze contains the chemical ethylene glycol which is highly toxic to both cats and dogs and potentially deadly. Smaller dogs and other young or sick animals are at heightened risk for fatal poisoning after consumption, but even small volumes—a teaspoon and upwards—may result in critical damage to kidneys that eventually results in renal failure and a slow, torturous death.
