Where would you find a liger?

You wouldn't find a liger in the wild! They are a hybrid animal, created through the breeding of a male lion and a female tiger. This means:

* Ligers only exist in captivity. Zoos and private animal collections are the only places where you would encounter a liger.

* They are not a natural occurrence. The different habitats of lions and tigers, as well as the fact they rarely interact in the wild, means ligers would not be found in nature.

While some people may try to claim sightings of ligers in the wild, these are most likely misidentifications of other large cat species.
