Things You'll Need
- Kangaroo leather strips
- Tape
- Lead snap
Instructions
Group three kangaroo leather cords side by side equally. Grip the cords and form a loop in them about 4 inches from the end. Feed the loose ends of the cord through the loop and pull the knot tight.
Tape the loose strands above the knot to a flat stationary work surface such as a table.
Separate the cords. Cross the right hand cord over the middle cord. Cross the left hand cord over the new middle cord. Pull the strands tight after every cross. Repeat this braiding process until you get to the end of the shortest cord.
Pass the end of the braid through a snap. Bring the end back across the main line of the braid. Pass it back up through the created loop. Feed the end around the main braid again and back into the loop. Pull the two half hitch knot tight. This will tighten when pulled on.
Make a small loop in the other end of the braid. Feed the loose end through the loop, around the neck and back through the loop. Leave enough of a new loop on the other side of the small loop to be a handle and pull the bowline knot tight.
