Things You'll Need
- Measuring tape
- Old sweater
- Marker
- Sewing machine
- Scissors
Instructions
Obtain you dog's measurements and add one inch. This will be the measurement used for the sweater. To measure a dog, start at the neck and measure to the base of the tail.
Turn a old sweater inside out. Measure the sleeve of the old sweater according to the dog's length measurement and mark it with a marker. Cut off the sleeve at this mark.
Use a marker to indicate where the leg holes should be. The diameter should be three times the measurement at the top of the dog's foreleg to provide optimum mobility. Cut the holes and use a tight zigzag stitch around the leg holes to prevent unraveling.
Turn the sweater right side out and decorate the sweater. You can add embroidery, bows, monograms or whatever you desire.
