Caskets for Dogs

For anyone who loses a pet dog, the grieving process can be intense. One thing that is instrumental toward healing is a proper burial which, for many, can include a casket. There are many types of pet caskets available, many of which are designed specifically for dogs. There are different caskets for different needs, some that are even custom-made. With such a variety of pet caskets, it shouldn't be difficult to find one that will individually honor your dog's life.
  1. Plastic Caskets

    • Plastic caskets made from polystyrene are the most economical pet caskets. These caskets come in a variety of sizes. There are many colors available for the exterior, and some companies offer a satin lining for the interior. This type of casket is air-tight and sealed to prevent water damage.

    Wooden Caskets

    • Wooden caskets provide a more classic, elegant look and are more pricey than the plastic caskets. Like the plastic casket, most wooden caskets are air-tight to keep out the elements. Wooden caskets can have a variety of finishes and a cloth interior is usually optional. Wooden caskets are extremely durable.

    Biodegradable Caskets

    • For the environmentally conscious dog owner, there are biodegradable caskets that have no metal or plastic components. These caskets will eventually turn back into soil, and are fairly inexpensive, while remaining earth-friendly. These caskets usually only come in neutral colors, but often feature a patterned lining. Like the other types of caskets, many sizes are available.

    Luxury Caskets

    • Pet Heaven Express features dog caskets that are more luxurious and more expensive than other options. These caskets are made from duralon, and are non-biodegradable. Each luxury casket comes with a pillow and blanket. These caskets can be custom painted for an extra charge. Another type of luxury casket is a steel casket lined in velvet. The steel casket is available in several colors and sizes and is completely air-tight.
