Things You'll Need
- 2 1/2 yards fabric
- 2 metal rings, 3-inch diameter
Instructions
Wash the fabric to remove sizing and manufacturing chemicals. Hem the raw ends of the fabric.
Lay the fabric out. Fold both sides toward the center of the fabric lengthwise, and then fold the fabric in half lengthwise. You will have a strip of fabric approximately 11 inches wide and 2 1/2 yards long.
Thread one end of the fabric through both metal rings. Pull 8 to 10 inches through the ring. Slide the rings slightly apart. Thread the fabric tail over one ring and under the other. Pull the fabric tightly. This locks the rings in place. Turn the fabric so that the tail is at the bottom of the ring.
Thread the other end of the fabric through both rings from the bottom. Slide the rings slightly apart and thread the fabric tail over the closest ring and under the other.
Place the entre sling over one shoulder. Check the length of the sling. The lowest portion of the sling should be at the same height as your belly button. Pull the tail until the sling is at the correct height.
Spread the folds of the sling and place the puppy in the fabric.
