Removing a Battery Module on a PetSafe Collar

PetSafe collars are great devices with sensors that can automatically open doors to allow your pet entry when you̵7;re not around or provide bark and fence control by initiating a safe static electric shock when your pet barks or goes near certain fences. They are simple to operate, and the battery module has been designed for quick removal.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the PetSafe collar from your pet before removing the battery module. Use your fingers to push the two clips where the collar joins together, then pull the collar apart with your fingers.

    • 2

Hold the plastic receiver affixed to the PetSafe collar in one hand, with the LED light facing you. You can see a latch on the top near the LED light.

    • 3

Use a small coin--a quarter works fine--and slide the latch to one side. It can only move one way, so you can̵7;t get it wrong. The battery module will pop up slightly.

    • 4

Remove the semi-circular battery module from the receiver. Put your thumb and forefinger around the module and lift upward.
