Things You'll Need
- Measuring tape
- Dog collar
- Plastic ice cream container
- Scissors
- Tape
- Screwdriver
- Heavy string
Instructions
Measure from where the collar will sit on the dog's neck to the tip of the dog's nose. Add an inch or two to this measurement. This number is how wide the ice cream container needs to be.
Put a collar on your dog. It should be loose enough that it can slip off. Remove the collar. Measure the width. This is how wide the base of the cone should be. Put the collar on the dog, but this time you can tighten it as usual.
Remove any handles from the ice cream container. Use an ice cream container that is wide enough according to your first measurement.
Cut a hole in the bottom of the container. The hole should be centered and the same width as the dog collar.
Cover the edges of the hole with tape so it does not hurt your dog.
Punch four holes in the bottom the container around the main hole. Use a screwdriver and make sure the holes are evenly spaced.
Put the cone on your dog.
Cut four pieces of string and attach the cone to the dog collar.
