Birthday Party Supplies for Dogs

Pets can be an important part of their owners' families. If you have a dog, you probably treat it like one of the family. Throwing any other member of your family a birthday party is a given, so why not have one for your dog? Don't forget the party supplies for your dog's party to make the party fun for the whole family.
  1. Invites

    • Take pictures of your dog and select one to use for your invitation. You can type the information for the birthday party and have your local printing shop print the information for the invitations as well. You can even choose multiple photos to make a collage for the front of the invitations.

    Hats

    • Party hats for a dog's birthday party are easy to make. For each small dog you will need to cut 3-inch by 5-inch pieces of cardboard. Medium dogs will need 4-inch by 6-inch pieces of cardboard. Cut 5.5-inch by 7.5-inch pieces of cardboard for larger dogs. Bend the corner on one of the longer edges. Do the same with the opposite corner so it begins to form a cone shape. Staple the folded pieces where they overlap. Use a marker to draw a line so you can round off any pointed edges. Now, you have a cone-shaped hat. Decorate the cardboard, or glue on craft paper or happy birthday wrapping paper.

    Decorations

    • Purchase paw stamps, ink pads and poster board from your local craft store. Create a birthday banner and add paw prints around the edges. Lay out streamers on a table, then use the stamps to create paw print streamers. Use the streamers to decorate tables, banisters and doorways around your home.

    Favors

    • Make apple cinnamon dog treats for your four-legged guests to take home. To make a batch, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, mix 1/4 cup of honey, 1/2 cup of water, 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon and 1 cup of oatmeal. Take an apple and core, slice and mince it. Add the apple to the other ingredients. Mix together. Then mix in 1 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour. Cover your work surface with more whole wheat flour. Roll out the dough and use dog-bone-shaped cookie cutters to form the cookies. Bake them for 30 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Flip the cookies over and then bake them for an additional 30 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool overnight before placing them in cellophane bags. Use ribbon to keep the bags closed, and finish with a bow.
