Instructions

    • 1
Thin bandanna fabric is easier to work with when pressed flat.

Iron a standard square bandanna flat.

    • 2

Fold the bandanna in half diagonally with wrong sides together and iron it at the seam. You should have a triangle with two layers and a fold.

    • 3
Make the pocket wide enough to fit your dog's collar.

Measure the width of your dog's collar. Sew a seam along the fold of the bandanna that's twice the width of the collar, forming a sleeve to slide the collar through. For example, if your dog wears a collar that is 1 inch wide, sew a straight seam 2 inches from the fold.

Slide a flat piece of cardboard into the sleeve temporarily. It should be long enough to stick out both ends of the sleeve.

    • 5
Add pretty jewels to the scarf for bling.

Glue jewels, buttons or other embellishments onto one side of the sleeve. This will be the top of the scarf. Gently pull the cardboard out of the sleeve as soon as the glue cools.

Slide your pet's collar through the pocket and put it on his neck.
