Instructions
Decide on the doorways where you would like to place your pet gate. Measure the width of the door and measure the height you want the gate to be. The gate should be at least 10 inches taller then your pet. A safe measurement would be to your waist.
Purchase the PVC piping you will need for this project using the measurements you have taken off your door. Buy two pieces that are 4 inches shorter than the width and two pieces that are the height of the finished gate.
Connect the four pipes to right-angle corner connectors, building the frame of your gate. Measure the size of the frame and cut a piece of heavy cloth to size. Zip tie the cloth to the frame by cutting small slits in the fabric, inserting the zip tie and locking the cloth to the pipe.
Screw the gate hinge along one side of the frame, then screw the hinges and gate to the frame of the doorway. Attach the gate bar to the opposite side of the gate hinges, and attach the gate lock to the door frame. The gate should now open and close freely, locking closed when the gate lock and bar are engaged.
