Instructions
Measure the height and width of your dog. You will need to find wheels with a diameter about the same height as his back legs. Visit yard sales to find a second- hand stroller with the correct size wheels and a push bar that is slightly wider than your dog.
Take the push bar of the stroller to use as a harness for the wheels. Cover it with soft foam to protect the dog. Drill holes in the bar to attach the wheels. Remove the wheels from the stroller and attach them to pre-drilled holes in the push bar using nuts and bolts.
Saw the broom handle to create lengths that will measure from your dog's back haunches to its front legs. Attach the lengths of broom handle to the stroller push bar to create a three-sided frame. Leave the front open. Attach strong leather loops to the broom handle at the outside, close to the back end where it joins the stroller bar.
Cut the material to create a tube which will fit both lengths of the broom and reach around and under the dog's neck. Fill the center section with padding. Sew this into place so it will not move. Sew large buttons to either end. Thread the tube onto the first side of the broom handle and attach the button to the loop.
Attach the harness to your dog, looping the padded material under its neck. Thread the second length of tubing through the other side of the broom handle and attach the button and loop. The harness should sit comfortably on the dog's back.
Measure from just above each wheel to the front of the harness and attach thick elastic to either side to hold the harness firm without causing the dog any discomfort.
