How to Make a Bandanna Dog Visor

Dogs don't usually need the hats, coats, shirts and other clothing people like to dress them in, but it certainly doesn't hurt to try to shade your dog's eyes from the sun. You can make a visor out of a bandanna. You can even make a matching visor bandanna for yourself.

Instructions

    • 1

      Place the bandanna flat.

    • 2

Fold the bandanna in half to make a triangle.

    • 3

Roll the bottom, longer edge of the triangle tightly toward the opposite tip of the triangle. Stop 2 to 3 inches from the tip of the triangle.

    • 4

Hold the roll tightly in place. Open the triangle tip to make a diamond shape by folding the top bandanna layer back over the roll.

    • 5

Fold each tip of the diamond into the center of the diamond.

    • 6

Return the top bandanna layer to its original position so it is no longer folded back over the roll. Instead of a diamond, you should now have a flat-tipped triangle.

    • 7

Roll the bandanna toward the flat-tipped triangle. Leave approximately 1 inch of the flat-tipped triangle to act as a visor.

    • 8

Tie the rolled bandanna around your dog's head so the visor is above its eyes.
