Instructions
Remove the Invisible Fence Brand platinum receiver collar from the dog's neck.
Hold the collar in one hand by the buckle without touching the metal electrodes in the collar.
Walk toward the known boundary of the Invisible Fence holding the collar at about the height of the dog's neck.
Listen for an audible beeping on the collar when nearing the underground wires. Back up four steps when the beeping occurs. The beeping sound should stop.
Walk toward the fence line again, and do not move back when the beeps occur. The receiver collar should pulse slightly. The slight pulse can be felt on the buckle without touching the probes. These test results show that the platinum receiver collar is working correctly.
How do I Test the Invisible Fence Platinum Receiver?
The Invisible Fence Brand pet containment system works with radio waves to restrict dogs to their yard. A dog wearing a platinum receiver collar can walk near the boundaries of the fence, receive a beeping signal from the transmitter and realize that he needs to back up. If the dog does not back up, he will receive a shock from the collar through metal probes that touch the dog's neck. If the collar is not working correctly, a pet will simply walk over the underground wires and leave the yard.
