Elastic Leashes for Dogs

Walking your dog is an important routine for your pet's health, well-being and behavior. However, with highly energetic or curious dogs, walking can be difficult. If your dog constantly pulls on his leash, you might be concerned that he will injure himself.

An elastic or bungee leash has either an elastic section or the entire leash is made of rubber tubing. Elastic leashes are great for the dogs that constantly pull during walks, eager to smell this or that. This type of leash will give your dog the freedom to roam even in cities that require dogs to be on leads.
  1. Shock Aborbing Bungee Leashes

    • The shock absorbing bungee leash is great for dogs that pull hard when walking. The spring in the bungee cord will protect the the dog from neck injuries if you need to restrain your pet.

The handle of this leash resembles a miniature version of a water ski lead. Because of its sturdiness, it is especially handy for large dogs. However, it is slightly less comfortable to grip and takes getting use to.

    Bungee Leash Couplers

    • A bungee leash coupler is miniature version of a bungee leash that connects one leash to two dog collars. The elastic nature of the connector allows the dogs freedom to move away from one another while on a walk.

    Elastic Fabric Covered Leashes

    • A gentler version of the shock absorbing bungee leash, this one has a standard fabric loop for handling. The leash is great for training dogs not to pull on the lead. When the lead is slack, you may give your dog a treat or praise. When your dog pulls the leash taut, stop walking.
