Instructions
Use a crowbar to rip of any portion of the dog house roof that you would like to replace. Use a hammer to get out any nails or to pry off any pieces that remain.
Measure the dimensions of your dog house.
Add an inch to all of the measurements so the roof will be slightly larger than the house.
Cut a piece of plywood out in those exact dimensions and sand the edges of the plywood.
Use screws or nails to attach the roof to the house. Lay the wood across the dog house and attach it in the best manner for the material. Screws and nails work well to attach a roof to a wooden dog house, but you might need glue, brackets, or bolts for plastic dog houses or dog houses made out of other materials.
Nail on roofing shingles to the piece of plywood. This will keep water out of the house and help control the temperature.
