Instructions
Use a shovel to remove all existing grass, rocks and stones from the surface of your dog run. Try to make the area as smooth and evenly graded as possible.
Pour a 3-inch layer of gravel over the entire floor of your dog run. Use a shovel to even out the gravel into a smooth layer.
Place a gravel compactor onto the gravel, plug it into an electrical socket, and turn it on. Run the compactor slowly and smoothly across every inch of the gravel to pack it down.
Lay the Majestic Turf grass roll on top of the gravel, and unroll it in the direction of the length of your dog run. When you reach the end of the run, use a utility knife to cut the Majestic Turf.
Place another section of Majestic Turf beside the first section if needed. Overlap the sections by 3 inches.
Cut through both of the overlapping sections of the turf using a utility knife. Press the edges of the turf into the ground, and run your hand across them to conceal the seam.
Insert 6-inch stainless-steel nails around the perimeter of the Majestic Turf, using a hammer to secure it in place. Space the nails 1 inch from the edge of the turf and at 8-inch intervals.
Spread a layer of infill lightly over the entire surface of the grass using a seed spreader. Infill is a sand-like substance that absorbs moisture and helps the grass fibers to stand straight up.
Run a turf brush over the entire surface of the turf to spread the infill evenly. Move the brush against the direction of the grain of the turf.
