Instructions
Measure 2 cups of dried fruit. According to the website DogAge.com, apples, berries, and bananas are the best choices for dried fruit. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals warns that raisins are toxic to dogs and should never be used in treats.
Put the dried fruit in the mixing bowl and add enough tap water to completely submerge all of the fruit.
Set the timer for 30 minutes and leave the bowl of fruit and water undisturbed until the timer beeps.
Drain the fruit and then add it to your favorite dog biscuit recipe when you mix all of the other ingredients. Find links in Resources for dog treat recipes.
Bake the biscuits per the instructions on the recipe.
