How to Make Wooden Dog Beds

Instructions

    • 1

Measure your pet's length and width and add a 4 inch ease. Have the lumber company cut out a piece of cedar for the bed. Cedar is often used to repel insects.

    • 2

Paint the bed and legs. Use 2 to 3 coats of paint. Dry thoroughly between coats

    • 3

Nail the four legs to the bed with galvanized nails.

    • 4

Have the foam mattress cut to fit. Wrap it in an old sheet and secure it under the mattress with elastic sheet straps. This allows the dog's bed to be changed easily.
