Instructions

    • 1

Cut one yard of leather strap. Sew the female part of the release buckle on one end, using an X-stitch, and the male part of the release buckle on the other.

    • 2

Cut one more yard of the leather strap. Thread one end of it through a triglide slider and around the O-ring.

    • 3

Thread the other end through a triglide slider and around the O-ring. This will form the collar.

    • 4

Take your last yard of leather strap and cut it in half.

    • 5

Take one half of the leather strap, about 18", and position it between the two ends of the collar piece, weaving it around the O-ring.

    • 6

Pin down the leather strap around the ring, leaving 2/3 of the leather strap on one side, and 1/3 of the leather strap on the other. Fold the 2/3 in half and pin it to the 1/3 length of leather, leaving a small loop open on the opposite end of the O-ring.

    • 7

Sew down everything you have pinned, except the loop.

    • 8

Between the two triglide sliders and opposite of the O-ring, sew one end of the leather strap around the center of the collar. The 2/3 piece should fold on itself.

    • 9

Thread the D-ring through the 2/3 piece. Sew the loop in place. The D-ring is where you will attach your leash.
