Things You'll Need
- 6 feet of 1-inch-wide nylon webbing
- Lighter
- 1-inch metal bolt snap
- Heavyweight thread
- Strong hand sewing needle
- Thimble
Instructions
Fuse the raw edges of the nylon webbing by holding each edge in the lighter flame for a few moments. This will prevent the nylon webbing from fraying.
Poke the nylon webbing through the bottom section of the bolt snap. Pull through until you have enough to fold it over the bottom of the bolt snap against itself.
Sew the short end of the nylon webbing down on to the long end with the needle and thread. Use a back stitch to prevent the sewing from coming undone later, and stitch two lines for added security.
Take the other end of the nylon, without the bolt snap, and create a loop by folding it. Make the loop large enough to comfortably fit your hand.
Sew the end of the nylon forming this loop down. Again, use a back stitch and sew two lines.
