Instructions

    • 1

Determine the size of the dog house you would like to build. Make sure your dog will fit comfortably inside the dimensions of the dog house you will be building.

    • 2

Take plexiglass and measure the size you have determined for the structure. Mark the plexiglass.

    • 3

Cut the plexiglass where you have marked the pieces. Make sure you have four sides of the dog house cut.

    • 4

Put sealant on the end of one piece of plexiglass and place it on the edge of another piece of plexiglass. Once put together, these two sides will look like the letter 'L.'

    • 5

Once dry, take the other two side pieces and repeat the process. You are creating a second L-shaped piece.

    • 6

Now take both L-shaped pieces and create a square. Seal.

    • 7

Measure and cut the plexiglass for the roof. You will have two squares and two triangles.

    • 8

Seal the squares together at the top. This will form the peak of the dog house roof.

    • 9

Seal the triangles in on the edges.

    • 10

Seal the roof onto the main frame of your dog house.

    • 11

Take your plexiglass cutter and cut a circular or square entry way for the dog house door. Be sure this opening is large enough for your dog to fit through but small enough to keep inclement weather out.

    • 12

Use a small amount of sealant to place two hinges roughly 3 to 4 inches apart from each other. Make sure you do this first on the piece of plexiglass for the door.

    • 13

Now, take a screwdriver and put screws into the holes of the hinges to ensure they will hold up with the wear and tear your dog makes. You may have to screw a hole into the plexiglass before you insert the screw, but this step is not always necessary.

    • 14

Now, place the door up and repeat Steps 12 and 13 to place the hinges onto the dog house. This step allows the plexiglass door to swing back and forth.
