Instructions

  1. Five foot solid pet ramp

    • 1

Screw the drywall screws into the thickest part of the moulding and into the sides of the 5 foot lumber. This makes a small ledge down the sides of the ramp. It may be easier to pre-drill the holes with a drill and drill bit.

    • 2

Use carpet glue to securely attach the strip of carpet onto the top of the lumber. Wrap the lumber so that there is an overhang of carpet material on the underside of the lumber. You may want to screw the carpet down along the underside edges with the wood screws.

    • 3

Use the pet ramp for loading your dog into a vehicle or for getting on the bed or other high furniture.

    Folding pet ramp

    • 4

Use the same steps as above except cut the 5-foot lumber, moulding and carpet in half before screwing together. Apply the steps above, but to each small section.

    • 5

Connect the two sections with two heavy duty hinges and secure them open with two heavy duty barrel (slide) bolts with screws.

    • 6

Fold the ramp and store it inside a bag or pillowcase.
