Where are piping plovers found?
Piping plovers are small, migratory shorebirds that breed along the Atlantic Coast of North America, from Newfoundland and Labrador to North Carolina. During the non-breeding season, they can be found along the Gulf Coast of the United States, the Caribbean, and parts of Central and South America. Piping plovers also breed in scattered locations in the Great Lakes region and the northern Great Plains.
