How to Build an Indoor Doggie Potty

Training your puppy to do its business outside can be difficult while living in an urban setting. Most likely, dogs do not have easy access to recreational areas like public parks, especially during the wintertime. Instead of forcing your puppy to deal with its chaotic surroundings, make an indoor dog potty, which can resolve the issue without harming the puppy's psyche.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the puppy pad at the bottom of the plastic tray. The tray needs to be large enough for your dog.

    • 2

Cut the metal grating using metal-cutting snips to fit into the plastic tray.

    • 3

Use a box cutter to cut the artificial grass to fit into the plastic tray. Place the grass on top of the grating.

    • 4

Encourage your puppy to use the potty by placing it on the grass every 15 minutes. After the puppy urinates, give it a dog treat to show that you encourage this type of behavior.
