How do you get a liger?
A liger is a hybrid offspring of a male lion (Panthera leo) and a female tiger (Panthera tigris). Lions and tigers are separate species and do not typically breed in the wild. Ligers are usually created in captivity by intentionally breeding lions and tigers. Lions and tigers both belong to the same genus, Panthera, which makes it possible for them to produce hybrid offspring. However, ligers are sterile and cannot reproduce. It is generally considered unethical to breed ligers or other hybrid animals that may suffer from health problems and welfare issues.
