Materials:
* 1 skein of yellow yarn
* A small amount of white yarn
* A small amount of orange yarn
* A pair of 5mm knitting needles
* Polyester stuffing
* A yarn needle
* A tapestry needle

Instructions:
Body
1. Cast on 36 stitches with yellow yarn.
2. Knit in garter stitch for 20 rows.
3. Cast off.
Head
1. Cast on 24 stitches with yellow yarn.
2. Knit in garter stitch for 20 rows.
3. Cast off.
Wings (Make 2)
1. Cast on 12 stitches with yellow yarn.
2. Knit in garter stitch for 10 rows.
3. Cast off.
Beak
1. Cast on 8 stitches with orange yarn.
2. Knit in garter stitch for 5 rows.
3. Cast off.
Legs (Make 2)
1. Cast on 8 stitches with yellow yarn.
2. Knit in garter stitch for 10 rows.
3. Cast off.
Assembly
1. Assemble the body, head, wings, and legs of the chick.
2. Stuff the body with polyester stuffing.
3. Sew the wings and legs to the body.
4. Sew the beak to the head.
5. Sew the head to the body.
6. Add a pair of black safety eyes to the chick.
Your baby chick stuffed animal is now complete!
Tips:
* To make a larger chick, cast on more stitches for the body and head.
* To make a smaller chick, cast on fewer stitches for the body and head.
* You can use different colors of yarn to make a variety of different chicks.
* Be sure to stuff the chick firmly so that it holds its shape.
