DIY PVC Pet Bed

PVC pet beds offer many advantages. They are durable, inexpensive and relatively uncomplicated to assemble. Making your own PVC pet bed allows you to custom-design the shape and size you desire, as well as any special features or additions you want to add. Instructions

    • 1

Decide how big or small you want your pet bed. Use a PVC cutter to cut your PVC pipes to the appropriate dimensions. It is easiest to make either a square or rectangular-shaped bed.

    • 2

Cut four sections of 4-inch-long PVC pipe. These are the four legs of the bed.

    • 3

Cut the fabric for the bed, twice as long as the width.

    • 4

Place a dab of glue inside two of the holes of one of the 3-way PVC connectors and attach two pieces of PVC pipe. This is the beginning of the frame of the bed. Take another 3-way connector and attach it the PVC pipe with a dab of glue. Continue working in this method until you assemble the square or rectangle frame of the bed.

    • 5

Insert all four legs of the bed into the 3-way PVC connectors, using a dab of glue to secure them in place. Place the PVC caps over the feet of the legs.

    • 6

Fold your fabric in half and lie it on a flat surface. Place the PVC frame, upside down and centered, on top of the fabric. Spray the pipe with fabric adhesive and fold the fabric over the pipe. Allow it to dry for approximately 10 minutes.

    • 7

Drill three screws into the PVC pipe, attaching the fabric to the pipe. Turn the bed right-side up.
