Instructions

    • 1

Gather the three strips of fleece together at one end and tie them in a knot. Pin the other ends together with a large safety pin.

    • 2

Cut two holes directly on either side of a tennis ball with a utility knife. They should be big enough to slide the fleece through but smaller than the knot you just tied. Be sure to wear gloves and use extreme caution.

    • 3

Thread the safety pin with the fleece attached through the holes in the tennis ball. Pull through until you the knot reaches the tennis ball. It should stop there so that the knot is on the outside of one side of the tennis ball and the rest of the fleece is pulled through the other side.

    • 4

Remove the safety pin and begin braiding.

    • 5

Braid until you reach about a inch from the end of the fleece. Tie a rubber band around the bottom of the braid.

    • 6

Tie another knot loosely at the end of the braid. Cut the rubber band off and remove it, and then pull the knot tight.
