Instructions
Scoop out a generous portion of peanut butter from the jar with a butter knife. You want the peanut butter to be evenly distributed up the full length of the knife blade, rather than a large glop concentrated at the end, if at all possible.
Stick the knife in the large hole at the bottom of the wide end of the Kong. Keep the peanut butter from skimming the side of the hole as you stick in the knife. Stick the entire blade of the knife in before pressing the side of the blade with the peanut butter against one side of the hole.
Withdraw the blade of the knife, scraping the peanut butter from the blade as you do so. Repeat this process as many times as necessary to fill the toy to the desired capacity.
How to Put Peanut Butter in a Kong
If your dog has a lot of extra energy to work off, but you aren't feeling up to a trip to the dog park or going for a long walk, one way to wear out your dog is by creating a challenging treat. Stuff a Kong dog toy -- a cylindrical dog toy with openings at either end -- with peanut butter. Your dog will stay entertained as long as it takes to get every last lick of peanut butter out of the toy, exhausting himself in the process, while you get a chance to relax.
