Instructions
Measure the length of your fence and then measure the PVC roller pipe to the length of your fence. Use 1/2-inch diameter PVC pipe for the inner roller and 1-inch diameter pipe for the outer roller.
Cut the measured PVC pipe with a miter saw with a 7 1/4-inch blade and about 40 teeth. Cut the plastic piping lengthwise in sections of 5 feet plus about 1/2 to 3/4 inch for the tubes to spin freely.
Scrape the burrs from the cut ends of the PVC pipe with a sharp knife to avoid any obstruction.
Mount 5-inch looped carriage bolts to tie down the cable wire at 5-foot intervals on the fence with a screwdriver. Using a screwdriver, mount the two end brackets with the "L" facing toward the center of the cable.
Mount the cable wire parallel with the top of your fence line. Use eye hooks for support at intervals of 10 feet or less.
Thread the wire rope through the 1/2-inch PVC. Slide the 1-inch PVC over the 1/2-inch PVC. Feed the wire through the next carriage bolt. Continue the process to install PVC pipe over the entire fence.
Push the cable through the loop on the carriage bolt at one end of the run and anchor it with wire rope lock.
Pull the wire tightly through the last bracket. Lock down the ends of the wire rope tight enough to prevent your dog's weight from pulling it loose. Tighten the bolts on the wire rope locks with a wrench, allowing enough tension to keep the PVC pipe up and spinning above the fence.
