Plan for a tunnel. Most agility courses contain some type of tunnel. It needs to be large enough that your dog can fit easily through, and ideally the tunnel will be translucent to allow in sunlight. Your dog might be wary of entering a pitch-black tunnel.
Use PVC pipes to create weave poles for the agility course. Your dog weaves in and out of poles that are generally set in a straight line. Use pipes at least 3 feet high and set them far enough apart that your dog can move between them. You might need to practice a few times because the bigger the dog, the more space you'll need.
Plan to have a standard jump as part of the agility equipment for the course. Again, this can be created with PVC pipes. However, this time you will want to add T's to the pipes, which can be slid into place. Place the T's at various heights along two 4-foot-high PVC pipes. Then, a shorter pipe can be added between them and connected using the T's. As your dog gets better at the jump, you can move it up higher and higher.
Connect PVC pipes with a combination of T's and elbow connectors to create a framework that is large enough for your dog to jump through. Connect the frame to a separate PVC pipe on each side by screwing them together. This creates a type of tire jump that your dog can jump through while completing the agility course.
