Innotek On-Demand Collar Instructions

Innotek manufactures a range of dog-training collars following a few different correction methods. Some Innotek collars connect wirelessly with underground cables, creating an invisible perimeter fence and an uncomfortable jolt for your pooch when it wanders astray; others operate on-demand with a hand-held remote. Some of these fobs allow the owner to spritz the dog with mist or deliver a high-frequency blast of noise when it's misbehaving. These latter models also have good tones that masters can deliver when dogs are making good decisions.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn the collar's receiver off by rotating the battery cover counterclockwise to the "Off" position. (These instructions are for the SD-70 model for lap dogs.)

    • 2

Place the collar on the dog, with enough slack to allow just one finger to fit underneath.

    • 3

Rotate the battery cover on the collar's receiver to the "On" position and rotate the receiver until it's hanging at the bottom of the dog's neck.

    • 4

Press the "Good" button on your transmitter for a pleasing tone to be emitted for the dog and to marry the two devices. This step must be performed within 30 seconds of Step 3.

    • 5

Use the "Bad" tone button after your dog makes mistakes, like having an accident indoors or when caught chewing your newspaper.

    • 6

Deliver tones in four intensities. Train your dog at the lowest intensity first by pressing and releasing the "LOW" button. This will deliver the least annoyance. Press and hold this "LOW" button for, at most, 10 seconds if just pressing and releasing isn't working.

    • 7

Press and hold the "PROGRAM" button on the transmitter's back to program electric "stimulation" and tone combinations. Simultaneously press and hold either the "2" button for tones and stimulation; "3" for no tones with stimulation; and "4" to start the stimulation one second after the tone.

    • 8

Release the PROGRAM button but keep holding the number button. After the transmitter's light goes off, release the number button too. Your dog and Innotek collar are ready for training.
