How to Troubleshoot the Innotek Collar Charger

Innotek makes a variety of dog collars that assist owners in a few different ways. Some collars are designed to teach dogs not to bark. Some keep the dog in a certain area, and others are used for advanced training methods. All of the Innotek products feature rechargeable collars with a collar charging cradle to eliminate the need to purchase batteries on a regular basis. Follow a few basic troubleshooting steps to determine if your charging problems are because of a bad charger.

Instructions

    • 1

Set the collar in the charger cradle as indicated by instruction manual.

    • 2

Wait for the light on the collar to turn on, which indicates that the charger is sending a charge. If the light does not come on, verify that the charger is plugged in.

    • 3

Verify that the outlet is receiving power. Plug in another appliance and turn it on to see if your plug is bad.

    • 4

Check to make sure the collar is properly set in the cradle.

    • 5

Check the charging port on the collar and the charging probes on the charger for debris or other substances. If the collar light still does not illuminate, you probably have a bad charger and should contact the manufacturer if the product is still under warranty.
