How to Set Up an Innotek Training Collar

Innotek's dog collar uses electrical stimulation for training purposes. This method is referred to as "static stimulation." The owner uses a transmitter to send stimulation to the dog via the collar (receiver.) This provides a distraction from the unwanted behavior. The distraction may come in the form of electrical stimulation or a warning tone.

Charge the training collar using the attached power jack, for a minimum of 12 hours. The receiver is powered by an NiMH battery that may take up to 14 hours to reach a full charge. For Innotek's non-rechargeable model, remove the battery cover with a screwdriver, place the battery (included) in the compartment and replace the cover.

Identify the red dots on the receiver and transmitter. Place them together so that they touch. Hold them in place until the light on the receiver is green, then turns to amber. Press the button on the transmitter. At this point, the receiver will blink red and transfer stimulation through the collar.

Place the collar on the dog. Proper fit is important for the collar to function properly. When placed on the dog, the correct length can be determined by placing a finger under the strap. The appropriate space between the collar and your dog's neck is the size of an index finger.
