When cleaning up dog urine, the key is not just to wipe it up but to completely get rid of all smells and stains. To do this, you'll need to get to the mess as quickly as possible and clean thoroughly until you are sure you have removed it.

  • Liquid dish soap
  • White vinegar
  • Clean cloth
  • Sponge
  • Eye dropper
  • Hydrogen peroxide

      Combine 1 tbsp. of white vinegar, 1 tbsp. of liquid dish soap and 2 cups of warm water.

      Dip a clean cloth into the cleaning solution you have made. Dab the urine stain on the carpet with the cloth until the entire area has been cleaned.

      Absorb the liquid from the carpet with a sponge. If a stain is still there, put hydrogen peroxide on it with an eye dropper. Add one drop of ammonia to the hydrogen peroxide on the stain and then clean it from the carpet with cold water and a sponge.

      Dry the area and wait for a few hours. If a stain or a smell remains, repeat the steps.
