First off, the sooner the owner puts their puppy in a specific daily routine, the sooner the puppy will adjust to it's daily schedule. Whether the puppy is being trained to sit in it's kennel during certain times, such as; at night, or whether the puppy is being trained to stay inside a puppy pen, it's important to start this process as soon as possible.

In order to get your puppy to stop crying when placed in it's kennel or pet pen, you must completely ignore the puppy's crying, whining or screaming. If you pick the puppy up when it whines or cries during this time, it knows that by crying he/she can get what he/she wants.
