Instructions
Wait until your dog is relaxed, either after eating or taking a nap before you begin to apply the body wrap. You can also soothe your dog with a massage or soft petting to get them ready to apply the wrap. For your dog, this wrap should always be associated with a calm state.
Place the middle of an Ace bandage across your dog's chest. Hold both ends and cross them over the dog's shoulders. The wrap should be snug but not too tight and should not interfere with movement.
Take the loose ends of the bandage and cross them under the stomach of the dog. Make sure that you do not restrict the movement or circulation of the dog.
Hold the loose ends up and tie them on top of the lower back of the dog. If the animal's hair is being pulled by the wrap, loosen the wrap so that it is not constricting.
How to Apply the Touch Body Wrap
The TTouch, or Tellington Touch, wrap is designed to help you train your dog, prevent fear and help with socialization. If you have a dog that is hypersensitive or wary of people, you might want to consider using the TTouch wrap to help your dog to be calm and friendly. The wrap uses moderate pressure to comfort the animal in times of stress or during travel. This method works especially well for dogs that are frightened by thunder.
