Instructions

      TEACH YOUR DOG TO SPEAK!

The next time your dog yawns or makes a verbal noise say "Speak!" and then give your dog a treat. Keep doing this exercise and they will begin to speak upon command. Remember to give them a treat each and every time.

      SIT DOGGY!

Gently press your dogs hind legs to the ground while saying "sit" whenever you want your dog to sit. Give them a treat after they sit and eventually they will catch on to the command all on their own.

    • 3

      DOWN BOY!

When trying to get your dog to lay down, say "Down" while either pointing at the ground directly below your dog or by waiting until they are in a submissive position already laying on their stomachs. Fake your excitement and reward them with a treat. They will eventually learn that this position means "Down" and rewards come with being in this position.

      PAW!

This trick involves you directly. Grab one of your dogs paw and say "Paw" or "Gimme Paw" and then shake their paw. Now reward your dog with a treat. Repeat by saying "Gimme other paw" or "Other paw" and now shake that paw. Give them another treat. Keep repeating this and by no time flat your dog will be offering you their paws when you say "Gimme Paw!"

      HEEL!

Jerk your lead sharply and say in a serious and firm tone "Heel." This command usually take a long time for dogs to learn so try to be patient. Heeling is important for walks because it controls the dog from pulling behavior.
