Things You'll Need

  • Grapefruit Seed Extract
  • Steam Cleaner
  • Hot Water
  • Spray Bottle

Instructions

      Combine one ounce of grapefruit seed extract in a spray bottle filled with water.

      Heavily spray the dog urine carpet area. Allow the spray to sit on the carpeting for approximately 5 minutes to pretreat the dog urine.

      Fill steam cleaner holding tank compartment with hot water and no soap. The grapefruit seed extract will get the dog urine and the odor out of the carpeting.

      Steam clean dog urine carpet area as you normally would.

      Dry clean area with a fan.

      Lightly spray the dog urine carpet area one more time with solution (from step 1).
