Wolverines rely on their naturally secretive and solitary behavior along with their sharp senses, and their ability to move quickly and silently to avoid detection. They inhabit dense forests and remote mountainous areas where there are fewer natural predators. They are also known for their strong claws, agility and strength which gives them an advantage when facing predators or pursuing prey.
Instead of camouflage, wolverines primarily use concealment and their natural habitat to avoid being seen. They prefer to inhabit areas with abundant shelter and cover such as dense underbrush, rock crevice and hollow logs. They use these hiding spots to observe their surrounding, rest and avoid potential threats. Additionally, their cautious and elusive behavior helps them avoid detection and allows them to survive in their challenging and often remote habitats.
