Do German shepherd dogs see colors?

German Shepherds, like most dogs, have dichromatic vision, which means they see fewer colors than humans.

Dogs are primarily sensitive to:

* Blue

* Green

* Yellow

* Shades of gray

They have limited sensitivity to red and orange. This means they see the world in a muted, more grayish color palette than we do.

However, they have excellent night vision and can detect movement very well. This, coupled with their keen sense of smell, makes them highly effective working dogs.
