They contain chemical cleaners that are not hazardous to your pet's health, but are still effective when it comes to eliminating odors. Only apply the neutralizer after you've removed all traces of dog feces from the affected surface. All products vary, but some common chemicals found in pet odor neutralizers include phenol xylene, naphthalene and cresol.
