Invest in a pet hair removal vacuum if you don't already own one. These models are made to pick up pet hair more efficiently than a normal vacuum. The attachments are also easier to use to remove hair from upholstery and other fabrics. Use the attachments for the vacuum to remove the pet hair from your drapes, mattress, furniture and other fabric surfaces. Empty the canister on the vacuum often to maximize suction.

Put on the rubber glove and run it under water. Shake off the excess water and run your gloved hand over the affected fabric using short strokes. This will effectively pick up dog hair and is an especially easy way to remove hair from hard-to-reach places.

Roll a piece of duct tape around your fingers with the sticky side facing out and use your taped hand to remove dog hair by quickly sticking and unsticking the tape to the fabric. Repeat until all of the hair is removed. To use a pet roller, simply move the sticky roller across the fabric until all of the hair is removed. Once the sticky area is covered with hair, remove it to reveal a fresh adhesive surface.

Rub a dryer sheet over the affected fabric to remove loose hair. Repeat until all of the dog hair is removed. This method will also deter pet hair from sticking to the fabric, which could mean removing less dog hair in the long run.
