Dog Shows in Minnesota

The sport of dog showing is more than four hundred years old. The first known recorded dog show was held by Rudolf II, the Holy Roman Emperor, who in 1603 held a field trial which featured 480 dogs. Today, dog showing is not only a popular spectator sport, but also a business involving breeders, groomers, professional handlers and a multi-million-dollar pet product industry. For those looking to show their dog, there are several shows to choose from in Minnesota.
