Things You'll Need
- Measuring tape
- 1 to 2 yards of thin fabric (quilting cottons or flannels work well)
- Tailor's chalk
- Scissors
- Pinking shears
Instructions
Measure the circumference of your dog's neck. Add 10 inches to this measurement.
Lay the fabric on a flat surface, and measure out a square with the dimensions you determined in step 1. Mark the measurements on the fabric with the tailor's chalk.
Cut out the square with the scissors.
Trim the edges of the square using the pinking shears, no more than 1 to 2 inches in from the edge. The pinking shears will give the fabric a decorative edge.
Fold two points of the square until they meet, forming a triangle (printed side of the fabric out). This triangle will form the bandana.
Tie the bandana around your dog's neck loosely. The extra 10 inches should give you enough fabric to tie so that the dog is comfortable.
