Things You'll Need
- Dog diapers
Instructions
Put diapers on your dog is if it is experiencing bouts of incontinence. A dog with incontinence issues will urinate involuntarily. Use doggy diapers until your dog has been examined by a vet to check for bladder or kidney problems.
Use diapers on a dog that defecates in an uncontrollable manner and is having accidents inside the home. Have your dog examined by the veterinarian. Use doggie diapers at all times until the issue is resolved or indefinitely if the problem is caused by aging and will not get better.
Consider using diapers on a dog that has mobility problems. If a medical condition prevents your dog from being able to get up and go outside, diapers may be necessary. Consult with your veterinarian to see if diapers are appropriate for your dog's condition.
Put diapers on female dogs that are in heat. A female dog that has not been spayed will go into heat about twice a year. The dog will experience bleeding and spotting that can be controlled by using diapers. The dog will have a discharge for one to four weeks, so use the diapers until you are sure the dog has stopped bleeding to prevent stains in your house.
