Instructions
Attach dog bone fabric and holly embellishments. You can find fabric in your local craft store that has a red or green background with white dog bones across it. Sew it onto the entire stocking except for the white top. After you have the sewing completed, glue some holly embellishments onto several of the bones. You can usually find these in the scrapbooking aisle of the craft store. The fabric makes a good match for the dog treats that will be inside on Christmas morning.
Sew on a new plush toy for your dog. Pick up a plush toy in the shape of a bone from your local pet store. Using a few safety pins, attach it to the front of the Christmas stocking. Not only will it make for an adorable decoration, but after the holidays your dog can play with the toy. Make sure that you take out all of the safety pins so your pet won’t hurt himself.
Adhere your dogs picture to the front of the stocking. Take a picture of your dog as he is facing toward you. Print out the picture and, using fabric glue, adhere it to the front of the stocking. Pick up a Santa hat embellishment from your local craft store and glue it to the top of the picture so it looks like your dog is wearing the hat.
Write your dogs name and add a bone. Take a red glitter pen and write your dogs name on the white part of the stocking. Next, take a small, flat dog bone, wrap a red ribbon around the middle of it and tie it in a bow. Glue the bone onto the center part of the stocking. Because of the glue the dog bone won't be able to be eaten, but it makes for a cute decoration.
